Space Maintenance

Following an extraction or early loss of a primary (baby) tooth, often times (usually not with front teeth) space maintenance is required. Without the former tooth in place, the teeth behind will start to move into the open space. An appliance may be suggested by Dr. Eryn and Dr. Rosa to prevent loss of space which will provide the best chance for the permanent tooth replacement to erupt into it's designated place within the upper or lower arch.
